[Bug 1524121] [NEW] gnome-disk-utility no longer recognizes luks partitions
Public bug reported: I had created LUKS partitions on zvol's in an earlier version but now version 3.16.2 (Ubuntu 15.10) shows those as "Unknown". Prior to upgrade I could unlock the partitions and edit the encryption options. I can unlock the partitions using cryptsetup which also works fine with commands like cryptsetup luksDump /dev/zd0. ** Affects: gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-disk-utility in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1524121 Title: gnome-disk-utility no longer recognizes luks partitions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-disk-utility/+bug/1524121/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 799865] [NEW] Nautilus cannot handle "gphoto2" locations
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus I've been trying to debug why Nautilus does nothing when my camera (Canon A1100IS) is connected via USB. The camera is accessible through Shotwell and under my Windows virtual machine but Nautilus does nothing. $ gphoto2 --auto-detect Model Port -- Canon PowerShot A1100 IS usb:002,009 $ nautilus gphoto2://[usb:002,009] Gives an error dialog: Could not display "gphoto2://[usb:002,009]/". [Bug 506647] Re: Can't login to ICQ or AIM servers "Received unexpected response from http://api.oscar.aol.com/aim/startOSCARSession"
I realize that this bug report may not be exactly the right one but for those experiencing this issue for only the last few days (people reporting here since the 18th) it does seem that login.oscar.aol.com port 5190 no longer accepts SSL connections. Unchecking "Use SSL" will allow login. Of course those of us using SSL would prefer to keep using it, but there does not seem to be any workarounds that I have been able to find. It is true that newer versions of pidgin supposedly have this fixed. [Bug 578953] Re: Encrypted removable drive no longer shows in places menu or on desktop when connected
I just noticed that CD's seems to be having the same issue. When inserted they show up in computer:/// but not on the desktop or places menu. So this is probably not a gnome-panel option but something else is going on. -- Encrypted removable drive no longer shows in places menu or on desktop when connected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/578953 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 578953] [NEW] Encrypted removable drive no longer shows in places menu or on desktop when connected
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel Prior to the upgrade to Ubuntu 10.04 when connecting my encrypted external drive it would show up in the places menu and on the desktop and allow me to decrypt and mount. Now it no longer shows in either place. It can only be accessed by going to Places - Computer. [Bug 471312] Re: Evince: PDFs look jagged and crappy
This is definitely a regression from 2.26. It looks to me like the scaling algorithm changed from 2.26 to 2.28. The new one is much worse (nearest neighbor?). I've been developing PDF reports for a client and they all use Window + Acrobat where the images look fine. But on my development machine they look terrible. They were fine before upgrading to 9.10 so, again, definitely a regression. -- Evince: PDFs look jagged and crappy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/471312 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 44728] Re: Pidgin/Gaim doesn't include SILC support
As it appears silc-toolkit is going into main (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/silc-toolkit/+bug/211179), I believe all that needs to happen now is: 1) libsilc-1.1-2-dev (or whichever version is in 8.10) to be added as a build-dep to the pidgin source package 2) libsilc-1.1-2 (or whichever version is in 8.10) to be added as a dependency to the libpurpl0 package With those 2 changes SILC support in Pidgin should "just work" which I think is what everyone would like to see. -- Pidgin/Gaim doesn't include SILC support https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/44728 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 44728] Re: Gaim doesn't include SILC support
I see. I had not realized the obvious that every package in main must depend only on other packages in main. I read the the Main Inclusion Process (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MainInclusionProcess) and submitted a Main Inclusion Report for silc-toolkit: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/silc-toolkit/+bug/211179 -- Gaim doesn't include SILC support https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/44728 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 44728] Re: Gaim doesn't include SILC support
*sigh* This is still broken in Hardy beta. Come on, this is a 1 minute fix, why should this bug report be 2 years old and still not fixed? Anyway, nothing left to say except what has already been said: The only thing required to fix this bug is to add the libsilc dev package to the build-deps and libsilc to the package dependencies. That's all that's been needed for at least the last couple of releases (edgy, feisty, gutsy, *hardy*). It's such a simple solution and would make the lives of all of us using silc so much easier that I would really like to see it happen before the next release. I'd also like to note that the pidgin and finch packages (in gutsy) both claim to have silc support when, in fact, they do not. -- Gaim doesn't include SILC support https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/44728 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 44728] Re: Gaim doesn't include SILC support
I want to agree that splitting is a bad idea compared to just building in SILC support as is done in Debian now.
