[Bug 371009] [NEW] nautilus automatic script execution broken
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus Since Ubuntu Jaunty the following function in Nautilus seems to be broken: If a USB Pendrive with some file like "autorun.sh" is insearted, nautilus automatically executes this bash script, at least it presents a dialog which askes the user if he wishes the script to be executed or not. With Jaunty this doesn't work, but on the other hand nautlius seems to take care of my script. Here is an example: 1. If I plug in a USB Pendrive with NO scripts then Nautilus opens automatically showing the drives content (it is configured to do so). 2. But if I plug in a USB Pendrive with a script then Nautilus does NOTHING (nor does nautilus open showing the content or present a dialog asking the user to execute the script). Script resides in root-folder of the pendrive and is named "autorun.sh" and contains just: >#/bin/bash >wine dosomething.exe ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: nautilus 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: nautilus Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic x86_64 ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- nautilus automatic script execution broken https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371009 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 371009] Re: nautilus automatic script execution broken
Hello, altering any values in gconf doesn't help, I tied that already. Please start reading carefully: I'm not trying to start any microsoft binaries!!! All I'm trying is something that always worked since about ubuntu 6.xy. And again: putting a linux executeable script "autorun.sh" NOT "autorun.inf" does make nautilus behave different, as nautilus stops to display automatically the drives content. As soon as the script is removed it shows the content again. What changed since Ubuntu 8.10 here that stops nautilus automatically executing binaries??? Please alter status of this bug accordingly. Again: THIS WORKED IN THE PAST! -- nautilus automatic script execution broken https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371009 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 212500] [NEW] spamassassin remote tests mangled
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Hello, after installing spamassassin and enabling its support in evolution I noticed that spamassasin filtered only few spams (about 10% or even less). I played with the commandline and found spamassassin to work very well on CLI. It managed to filter nearly all of my spams without any CLI options - just all default. So where is the difference? Which configuration (files) are used by evolution? After playing around with the "additional remote test (in german "ferntests") option under evolution->preferences->mail-options->spam I found spamassassin to filter much more spams (more than 90%) when this option is DISABLED!!! Question: did some developer messed up the check- box and reverted its function? When disabled spam processing is also much slower which again points to a reverted check-box. [Bug 135548] Re: [Gutsy] Action on critical battery isn't triggered - regression
Using Inrepid I still have the problem on a Thinkpad T43 (g-p-m version is 2.24.0-0ubuntu8). I think the problem is, that g-p-m recalculates remaining time and percentage only if battery changes by 1%. Let me explain this: - Reading /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state my Thinkpad T43 battery discharges very regulary (10-40 mWh / sec steps) until it reaches the alarm-capacity of 2206mWh (/proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/alarm) - from no on the state doesn't change anymore for some time and remains at about 1800 mWh. This represents about 4% remaining capacity (shown by left-click on g-p-m applet). - Now g-p-m only recalculates if battery changes by 1% no recalculation happens for that time. As 4% is calculated to 10-15 minutes remaining time no automatic shutdown is triggered, no matter if use_time_for_policy is true or false, as both thresholds are much lower (2% or 120 seconds). - Near complete crash of the system the battery state begins to change again, but drops from 1800 mWh to near ZERO. The remaining time is not enough to let g-p-m trigger anything and the system crashes. Suggestions: raise all thresholds or change the way g-p-m is polling or beeing notified about battery state changes. -- [Gutsy] Action on critical battery isn't triggered - regression https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/135548 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 135548] Re: [Gutsy] Action on critical battery isn't triggered - regression
Addendum: things seem to be more complicated. Using "use_time_for_prolicy" I cannot manage to make my system shutdown automatically, even with 360-seconds as power-off treshold. This should work, as when my laptop battery reaches 3% the calculated remaining time drops to 5-minutes (300sec < 360), but nothing happens. Disabling "use_time_for_prolicy" and raising up corresponding theshold seems to work better. Generally there is additionally a problem when my battery suddenly dropps from 3% to 0% directly. In this case g-p-m does not react to this change and again noting happens. So if 3% was calculated to 5 minutes remaining time than jumping to 0% directly g-p-m still shows 5 minutes remaining time. -- [Gutsy] Action on critical battery isn't triggered - regression https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/135548 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 314289] [NEW] evolution "Check custom headers for junk" not working
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution I have a postfix mail server with spamassassin installed and running on it. So incoming mail is filtered already on server side and marked as SPAM or HAM (all at default: i.e. X-Spam-... headers are added and if filtered as spam the original email is forwarded as a MIME-attachment. I use IMAP to sync/download new mail. I also enabled all inbox-folders to beeing automatically synced locally for offline operation. I have setup evolution to automatically filter for spam (options->e-mail->Junk->Check incoming messages for junk) and to obey mail headers (options->e-mail->Junk->Check custom headers for junk, is per default enabled) This setup does not work as email is still arriving in the inbox instead beeing moved to the junk folder as I expected. I also tried to enable all junk options in the account settings with no success. This options are NOT documented in the official manual so I suppose this is a bug.
[Bug 135548] Re: [Gutsy] Action on critical battery isn't triggered - regression
