Public bug reported: In feisty applet desktop-effects is not loaded by defauld in control center! I think it should be added by default cause when I've received the answer about a bug in compiz/beryl it was written that it affected also desktop-effects applet. Thank you! It was obvious it was that package missing!Who knows what I'm thinking sometimes:-) Now it works! In any case I've installed python-qt3 with: sudo apt-get install python-qt3 this package wasn't installed before. Could you check if it's installed when the control center with HPlip toolbox is installed first time? Like this we can assure nobody has this (silly) problem. [Bug 40216] Found CRITICAL bug!!!
Well done!!! After your suggestion I've checked the log and I've found a critical problem for gdm: It continues to restart if it hasn't space left on the disk!!! Weird!!! Absurd!!! It's a critical bug cause only of gdm cause the entire system continues to work perfectly and the user doesn't receive any message of this kind of silly problem.I've simply freed some space and gdm has started normally. Please correct this bug! I think the problem is the communication between evince and CUPS.Cause CUPS works well in any case.
