[Bug 579599] Re: Glitchy Sound on HDA Intel 5/3400 Series

2010-05-14 Thread coldReactive
I can no longer test however, as I am on windows now. Might test in the
future if problem still exists, but only if I can also test other bugs
that I've been having as of late. If I can't test those as well, then
it's of no benefit of me to just test one thing.

[Bug 579599] Re: Glitchy Sound on HDA Intel 5/3400 Series

2010-05-14 Thread coldReactive
It might be related to the IEC audio portions, as muting them "seems" to
fix the issue (need to restart computer after applying as such. But
might still have the problem.)

It might also be a gstreamer problem as Kubuntu--which uses the XINE
backend--did not have the glitchy sound by default.

However, the sound card may have a hardware-based configuration, which
means that if linux tells it to mute something, it will stay muted for
linux until it is unmuted. It is unsure of what is happening.

[Bug 410407] Re: Clicking on items in Flash player does nothing [READ DESCRIPTION]

2010-05-12 Thread coldReactive
I used Ubuntu 10.04 near when it came out on my ASUS Laptop with Radeon
Mobility HD 5870, and disabling compiz did NOT help for firefox, nothing
could be clicked, etc. Didn't try to put on GDK Native Window hack, so
yeah... might have fixed my issue.

[Bug 504341] Re: Xubuntu Should Have Parole Not Totem

2010-01-07 Thread coldReactive
totem is GNOME, Parole is xulrunner based on gstreamer, it would be wise
to change it.

However, I don't really feel that I care anyway to be honest, I use an
xfce minimal install using the ubuntu mini.iso.

[Bug 432676] [NEW] [Enh] Allow highlighting of newly installed apps

2009-09-18 Thread coldReactive
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-menus

-- Enhancement --

Installed apps can become plentiful in some distributions. It would be
wise to allow highlighting of the menus for newly installed applications
in case you can't find your newly installed application in the menu
after installation. You can set a lighter color of the selection color
for this. Obviously, this should be an optional component of GNOME
Menus.

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: metacity

  -- Enhancement --

Do Not Use A Key should be a choosable option for the "Movement Key"
option in the Windows dialog/options for Metacity.
+
+ You could also have a text/grab key option instead of the current
+ options like compiz. Leaving blank would assume no key instead of
+ default.
