[Bug 1884746] Re: Wacom stylus not identified/available (ACER SPIN 5)

2020-10-11 Thread crysman
@coulaud I had noticed that, too, but testing it today... it seems to
work just fine.

Unfortunately, user experience with pen/stylus on GNU/Linux is MUCH
WORSE than in Windows 10 :( namely because it behaves just like if it
was a mouse - simple mouse pointer. In Win10, it is smart and you can
move the screen... I wish it could be the same in my primary OS (here in
Ubuntu)

[Bug 1886075] Re: feature request: using mouse wheel like in XFce

2020-07-11 Thread crysman
Hi there, a little update:
1) De/increasing sound works fine now (after my vacation and update and restart)
2) Mousewheel on application icons, unfortunately, does nothing, same as
before. Expected behavior: switching app windows like ALT+~ does.

I am first working on this kernel bug to actually have no weird boot kernel
parameters in order to have functional touchpad and touchscreen in the first
place...

[Bug 1886075] [NEW] feature request: using mouse wheel like in XFce

2020-07-02 Thread crysman
Public bug reported:

Hello, this is not a BUG, rather a feature request, which possibly shall
be placed elsewhere (where?)

I'm used to very useful behavior from XFce and that is hovering over various
icons in system bars and using the wheel actually performs actions immediately
like e.g.:
1) in/decreasing volume while on sound icon
2) switching app windows while on app icon - would be extreme useful here in
GNOME since more apps windows are already marked by small dots sou user is very
aware that there are more windows... I know there is ALT+~ but when using mouse
only its not an option...
...

I've searched event through GNOME tweaks, but no luck - have not found
it.

Any way how to add this behavior?

Thanks a lot #McZ

[Bug 1884746] [NEW] Wacom stylus not identified/available (ACER SPIN 5)

2020-06-23 Thread crysman
Public bug reported:

There is "No stylus found" in the Settings. Stylus itself is working
flawlessly in Windows 10 OS. What shall I do to make it work in Ubuntu
20.04 (GNOME)?

Here is the xsetwacom output:

xsetwacom --list
Wacom HID 495F Pen stylus id: 9 type: STYLUS
Wacom HID 495F Finger touch id: 10 type: TOUCH
Wacom HID 495F Pen eraser id: 18 type: ERASER

PS: I am currently forced to use these kernel boot parameters:

i8042.nopnp=1 pci=nocrs

(because of this bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1884232 )

Many Thanks!

[Bug 1830408] Re: [nouveau] Do not see login screen after screen is blanked

2019-05-27 Thread crysman
OK, I've attached the log. Some info has been obfuscated (e.g. MAC
addresses, computername, usernames)

Thank you.

I've also noticed that turning the computer off takes 1.5min when some
apps are opened. This issue had been present in some previous releases,
but got fixed later on, now it's here again. Might be related (?)
