[Bug 118593] Re: mouse preferences acceleration not saving

2008-01-17 Thread della
What is the bug upstream? :)

Anyway, The last time, I just restarted gdm and settings was in their
place. Wrong, but there was.

The problem here is that I can only change mouse acceleration from
gconf-editor and if I try to use the gui, acceleration is set to 0 with
no chance to change it anymore (without using the gconf-editor, of
course)

What do you need?

[Bug 118593] Re: mouse preferences acceleration not saving

2008-01-15 Thread della
I cannot believe!
This is back with a vengeance!

I tried to change the mouse acceleration from the gui and immediatly the
accelerations has gone away. Then I remember about this bug, get here and now
there is no mouse_acceleration properties anywhere at all!!!
And if I create a key well... nothing happens, maybe I do not know, I have
created an integer key and tried different values, from 0, 1, 10, 100, 1000 but
nothing happens...

[Bug 118593] Re: mouse preferences acceleration not saving

2007-11-22 Thread della
todays my gutsy desktop start to have this behavior.
to solve:
launch gconf-editor from terminal
browse to desktop | gnome | peripherals | mouse
change mouse_acceleration properties.

i found the property just searching for "accel" also in key names.

just as a note, the problems arise seemingly from nothing, just yesterday the
system updated gnome-tools to latest version from official repo.
At the same time, also the keyboard stop reapitin chars when a key is pressed.
This problem still unsolved.
Gnome system menus icons also disappeared, still unsolved.

[Bug 85831] battery not detected

2007-02-17 Thread della
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hal

MacBook Core2 Duo, Feisty up to date.
Everything worked well till one of the update of february. since then (I think
0.5.8.1-4ubuntu5 or ubuntu6) my battery is not detected anymore.
hal-device does not show any battery and gnome-power-manager does not offer any
tab related to "On battery power" nor older options work (when i close the
laptop, the screen remains active while originally it went to blank-screen.

I do not know for sure if this is a hal problem, but after some
investigation I think it is possible.

Let me know if you need further informations about hardware or feisty
configuration.

[Bug 33500] Re: Deskbar Applet "Entry in panel" incompatible with Compiz

2007-02-08 Thread della
I am using feisty up to date with latest release of beryl, video card
is the one integrated in the new macbook, an Intel.

I have this problem: deskbar does not get focus if in "entry in panel"
mode, while it works in the other mode.

To be precise, I can select with mouse the text that is in the deskbar
but no keyboard input is received or at least displayed, nor a charater
appear, nor a paste works.

As far as I remember, it worked well till few days ago.
If I switch with beryl manager to metacity theme, it works perfectly.

Same behavior for me, hda intel on macbook (core 2 duo) using feisty up
to date.

More than this, recording does never work, nor the first time.
In gnome-sound-record I have tried both mux and capture as input source.
On volume-control the only mic that is turned off is the one of capture, mux
stays on (but does not work either)

BTW, mic does not work at all also with apps like skype, ekiga ecc...
but I can listen other people speacking.
