I just looked at apci_listen and I saw that for every "video LCDD 0086 hotkey ATKD 001f 00d3" event (which is fired when you press the inc. button and when it is at full brightness) one notification is "triggered". Hi. For me the notification only appears when I reach full brightness and eg. press the hotkey again or even worse when I hold it down it won't even stop appearing.
