[Bug 2064077] [NEW] Overridding Left and Right do not work

2024-04-28 Thread Fabrice
Public bug reported:

Hello,

I just installed Ubuntu 24.4 and set my favourite keyboard shortcuts.
I want to use Super+Left and Super+Right to navigate between workspaces. I
disabled the "split view left" and "split view right" which I don't like at
all, and set "Move to workspace left" to Super+Left and "Move to workspace
right" to Super+Right.

I rebooted the computer. Despite all of that, Super+Left still does the
"split view left" thing, and ditto for Super+Right.

How can I get those keyboard shortcuts to do what I want?

Thank you,

  Fabrice

[Bug 1721637] Re: can't open system settings(Ubuntu 17.10), icon is visible but settings don't dislay

I have deactivated all the gnome extensions. Rebooting and the control
center launch normally... So it's a workaround, before I isolate what is
exactly the problem and possibly the extension (if only one is
implicated).

Hi Jeremy,

As we are way past feature freeze, you need to get first a FFe (Feature Freeze
exception) before syncing the package.
You can find the process described there:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess#FeatureFreeze_for_new_upstream_versions

Please provide the info requested there, and once you get the FFe,
subscribe again sponsors.

Thanks,

[Bug 28835] Re: Unmount in volume right-click menu, is tech-speak and undiscoverable

2009-06-24 Thread Viale Fabrice
I would like to point that the problem is even worse in french.
Unmount is translated literally to démonter which also unfortunately means
take to pieces. Thus my parents discovering Ubuntu at my home have let their
USK key a whole day connected to my computer because they were afraid to clic
the menu but did not want to remove it directly... Windows XP is more verbose
but let confuse. So changing the english meaning could also help translated
version of Ubuntu too...
