[Bug 1825679] Re: Delay/freeze/cpu spike when using the function/media/brightness keys in Xorg

[Bug 1825679] Re: Delay/freeze/cpu spike when using the function/media/brightness keys in Xorg
I also had this problem and the suggested workaround helped solving it. Actually, it additionally solved a delay issue on login screen when recovering from suspension and a delay on xdotool commands. [Bug 374078] Re: Double clicking a maximized window frame does not restore window
It happened to me with thunderbird. Also when a window is maximized and you drag it out by click and push from the top to the middle of the screen, nothing happens. Giving focus to the application (with either ALT+TAB or clicking on the window) and then moving and touching the top of the screen fails to open the application menu. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to metacity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/374078 Title: Double clicking a maximized window frame does not restore window To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-desktop/+bug/374078/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 28835] Re: "Unmount" in volume right-click menu, is tech-speak and undiscoverable
Ubuntu is: linux for human beens and not linux for hackers. If someone put one CD in a computer he will use the eject button on optical drives to remove it. It is the more logical thing to do. then I think it is not need the notification for cdrom. But, if you put a usb key you need to do some thing to "remove safely" and it not a logical thing, then it need a notification for the user realize that he/she need to click in "remove safely" before remove the usb key. [Bug 310575] Re: A3 pdf file is cropped and printed on A4 paper
I can confirm that if you specify explicitly A3 it prints correctly. But is this the way it should be? If i print to Lenny cups queue or Sarge, i don't have to specify anything and i have mixed format PDFs in a directory and just do a lpr -P xerox1 *.pdf and each document is printed correctly, no matter if A3 or A4. This does not work with 2ubuntu6 version. I strongly disagree that it is a correct and expected print processing that If i print an A3 document it comes out cropped on A4 paper?? It can be better, the information is there, cups has just to use it, it it obviously worked as expected in other/older versions. And i am not talking about printing from GUI applications like evince or acroread, just because you have to click on thousand buttons to get what you want, which makes it error prone. -- A3 pdf file is cropped and printed on A4 paper https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/310575 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
