[Bug 1825679] Re: Delay/freeze/cpu spike when using the function/media/brightness keys in Xorg

2020-07-21 Thread Rafael Ferro
'apport-collect 1825679' won't work because I'm not the author or
because the report is closed. I'm attaching the journalctl output.

[Bug 1825679] Re: Delay/freeze/cpu spike when using the function/media/brightness keys in Xorg

2020-07-21 Thread Rafael Ferro
I also had this problem and the suggested workaround helped solving it.
Actually, it additionally solved a delay issue on login screen when
recovering from suspension and a delay on xdotool commands. Is it
possible to reopen this bug report or should I open a new one?

[Bug 997630] Re: evince and eog broken on remote sessions (X, NX, x2go and VNC)

2013-02-04 Thread ferro
I can not able to relate why this bug is marked fixed? It is certainly NOT
fixed!
I use gnome2d desktop and it does not work.
On my terminal servers here it takes evince 45 s to start up - this is a show
stopper.

[Bug 374078] Re: Double clicking a maximized window frame does not restore window

2012-02-23 Thread Luis Ferro
It happened to me with thunderbird.

Also when a window is maximized and you drag it out by click and push
from the top to the middle of the screen, nothing happens.

And when you just click on it, the close/minimize/maximize buttons
should appear but fail to do so.

Giving focus to the application (with either ALT+TAB or clicking on the
window) and then moving and touching the top of the screen fails to open
the application menu.

[Bug 28835] Re: "Unmount" in volume right-click menu, is tech-speak and undiscoverable

2009-06-17 Thread Rogerio Ferro
Ubuntu is: linux for human beens and not linux for hackers.
If someone put one CD in a computer he will use the eject button on optical
drives to remove it. It is the more logical thing to do. then I think it is not
need the notification for cdrom.
But, if you put a usb key you need to do some thing to "remove safely" and it
not a logical thing, then it need a notification for the user realize that
he/she need to click in "remove safely" before remove the usb key.
I think the notification icon is a good idea, but only for removable driver,
not for cdrom.

[Bug 310575] Re: A3 pdf file is cropped and printed on A4 paper

2009-01-16 Thread ferro
A combined printjob does also NOT print properly:
lpr -P xerox1 -o PageSize=A4 A4quer.pdf -o PageSize=A3 A3portrait.pdf -o
PageSize=A4 quer7232.pdf
The last option wins. That is not the expected behavior.

[Bug 310575] Re: A3 pdf file is cropped and printed on A4 paper

2009-01-14 Thread ferro
I can confirm that if you specify explicitly A3 it prints correctly. But is
this the way it should be? If i print to Lenny cups queue or Sarge, i don't
have to specify anything and i have mixed format PDFs in a directory and just
do a
lpr -P xerox1 *.pdf
and each document is printed correctly, no matter if A3 or A4. This does not
work with 2ubuntu6 version. I strongly disagree that it is a correct and
expected print processing that If i print an A3 document it comes out cropped
on A4 paper?? It can be better, the information is there, cups has just to use
it, it it obviously worked as expected in other/older versions.

And i am not talking about printing from GUI applications like evince or
acroread, just because you have to click on thousand buttons to get what
you want, which makes it error prone.
