[Bug 1854892] [NEW] Opening external drive in disks shows wrong disk
Public bug reported: When I navigate to the directory of my "Data" internal drive, right click, choose properties, and click "open in disks," the disk application opens to the wrong disk (the first one in the list, my nvme boot ssd). Additionally, I don't see the drive in the side bar (like 18.04). If I had tried to do this with a flash drive I was planning to reformat, I might have accidentally formatted my boot drive. [Bug 1833558] Re: gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in meta_monitor_manager_get_monitor_for_connector() from
For me the root cause seems to be a problem with the i915 driver and multihead. With Kernel 4.19.69 it works. [Bug 1100308] Re: gnome-control-center segment error during selection of image
The error might be related to bug 841280. There the user Scott Stensland (scottstensland) describes similarly then after its window opens I use mouse and click on icon : User Accounts Segmentation fault (core dumped). However, that bug is Fix Released and pertained to 1:3.1.90-0ubuntu2, while I got: /usr/bin/gnome-control-center --version gnome-control-center 3.2.2 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1100308 Title: gnome-control-center segment error during selection of image To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1100308/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1100308] Re: gnome-control-center segment error during selection of image
This issue is reproducible and seems to be related to the user number. I had a user number in the /etc/passwd set to 300 and something. Now changing that to 1000 and with appropriate sudo chown -R myusername /home/myusername and sudo chgrp -R myusername /home/myusername I no longer get the error: the username is shown in lightdm, the username is shown in the upper right corner, I see my self in the User account is system settings, and pressing the icon does not generate a crash, but selects the icon alright. Before that I tried minimum-uid=300 in /etc/lightdm/users.conf but I did not get that to work. There seems to be multiple issues (including a crash) related to a too low user number. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1100308 Title: gnome-control-center segment error during selection of image To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1100308/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

You have been subscribed to a public bug: Upon login to gdm after upgrading from 6.10 to 7.04 the keyboard is messed up. Also it complains that there is a mismatch between X settings and gnome.
