[Bug 1775638] [NEW] right arrow of the horizontal scrollbar overlaps down arrow of the vertical scrollbar
Public bug reported: I am on Ubuntu 16.04.4 platform. When I open gedit with a few pages long text file I am unable to click downward arrow of the vertical scrollbar because the horizontal scrollbar's right arrow overlaps it, and it steals the focus so intended vertical scrolling fails, instead it gives rise to unintended horizontal scrolling. I can not use scrolling wheel on the mouse, so it's exhausting for me. ** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1775638 Title: right arrow of the horizontal scrollbar overlaps down arrow of the vertical scrollbar To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/1775638/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1304249] [NEW] Nautilus fails handling the desktop After upgrading to 13.10
Public bug reported: I upgraded to 13.10 last week, since then whenever wallpaper switches, desktop icons disappear. I use Wally desktop switcher. That began to happen after I upgraded to 13.10. Nautilus version now is 3.8.2. I read that drawing the desktop dropped from nautilus and that feature is provided by a patch in recent versions. I suspect that it's related to patch. Would anybody test it with wally wallpaper switcher and post the result? ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1304249 Title: Nautilus fails handling the desktop After upgrading to 13.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1304249/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1304249] Re: Nautilus fails handling the desktop After upgrading to 13.10
It's Ubuntu 13.10 32 bit. I couldn't reproduce the problem in guest account. So this appears to stem from remnants of previous version. I deleted nautilus folders in ~/.local and ~/.config, it didn't work. There must be other folders that nautilus uses. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1304249 Title: Nautilus fails handling the desktop After upgrading to 13.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1304249/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 267371] Re: [gvfs] [smb] Damaged OpenOffice files from samba shares
Sorry , forgot to mention that my OOo version is: OpenOffice.org-core 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2.1 Installing smbfs 3.0.28a and mounting via CLI, is working. (i.e. im unable to corrupt files during my tests) However i'll have a hard time relying on the GUI/gvfs for attaching to any SMB-share anymore.. Sadly, 'cause this is something the windowsuser expect to just work. But it's actually worse than if it were 'not an option', because it seemes to work, - however it's corrupting your files. This is - in my mind - sad, as it will prevent Ubunty from replacing windows on the desktops ( in the near future) /Kenn -- [gvfs] [smb] Damaged OpenOffice files from samba shares https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/267371 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 267371] Re: [gvfs] [smb] Damaged OpenOffice files from samba shares
I'm running HH 64bit ws _and_ HH 8.04.2 64bit as samba server. I _am_ experiencing the problem. As much as the problem is reckognized , all i can see is that i'll have to use a kernel not for 8.04 This isn't the sort of thing You'd expect when upgrading from Fedora WS and CentOS server to Ubuntu 8.04.2 LTS on both WS and server. Actually i expected that the LTS-version was matured enough to running *at least* as smooth as F8 + SME7.4(CentOS). Actually it worries me to see that fixes is revolving around Jaunty - not the Long Term Support 8.04.. I'm sure i must have mistaken stability for flawless in the Long Term Support concept.. /Kenn -- [gvfs] [smb] Damaged OpenOffice files from samba shares https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/267371 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
