[Bug 2043407] [NEW] icons-notifications-counter keeps active after program closes

2023-11-13 Thread lotuspsychje
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu desktop 24.04 development branch @ 13/11/2023 with kernel

With the new icons-notifications-counter enabled the program counts like
expected

until notification area has been readed and cleaned, the count
disappears from the dock icon.

But when the program closes, the count number remains active on a pinned icon

would it not be better to remove the count when program closes?

[Bug 1988847] [NEW] Add a direct link to the irc support channel list

2022-09-06 Thread lotuspsychje
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 22.04.1 @ 6/9/2022

[Current Case]

When launching the gnome Yelp icon under category 'Get more
help'/community support

the user is forwarded to https://ubuntu.com/support/community-support

and needs to click 4 times to actualy get to the irc channel list to get
support

[Wislist]

Please add a more direct link towards the Ubuntu irc support channels

from inside Yelp/get more help so the user can get a better support
experience.

The Yelp icon is on the Ubuntu-desktops dock by default, so this could
benefit to a quick irc help

the desktop
works stable after

Thank you reporting this bug and make Ubuntu better!

Before filing bugs, could you update your system to latest and test this
bug again please?

Something also went wrong with your screen record, could you make a new
one and/or screenshot?

Maybe also attach your dmesg logs so volunteers can debug a better way.

[Bug 1839759] [NEW] Gdm3 asks password randomly when automatic login is enabled

Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 18.04.3 up to date to latest @ 11/8/2019 with kernel:
5.0.0-23-generic #24~18.04.1-Ubuntu

Gdm3 asks randomly for the user password at login, when automatic login is
enabled

I did not use seahorse yet, just system settings/details/users to
enable auto login

when filing the bug, it asked me to attach /etc/gdm3/custom.conf as it was
modified
but i never edited it myself.

I cannot reproduce this, this happens at random on cold boots.
