[Bug 1094744] Re: MS Sculpt Touch Mouse needs to be re-paired periodically

2013-10-13 Thread molecule-eye
I have a Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse which was having the same
problem on Kubuntu 13.10 and Ubuntu Gnome 13.10. The problem doesn't
arise on other distros like Fedora 20 (Alpha). Adding the line

device oui=28:18:78: type=mouse name=Microsoft Sculpt Comfort
Mouse pin=/

to

 /usr/share/kde4/apps/bluedevilwizard/pin-code-database.xml

Did NOT work. However, removing the 'name=Microsoft Sculpt Comfort
Mouse' part did. I.e., adding instead

device oui=28:18:78: type=mouse pin=/

fixed my problems. Cheers!

[Bug 1035431] Re: bluetooh-wizard failed to connect to a keyboard(logitech)

2013-10-12 Thread molecule-eye
I had this problem on Ubuntu Gnome 3.10 Final beta. The bug was also
present on Fedora 20 Alpha 1 (Gnome 3.10). The only issue seems to be
that the pin information is not being retrieved by bluetooth-wizard.

To get around the issue, I set my keyboard (MS Sculpt Mobile) to
discovery mode, ran sudo hcidump -at in a terminal, then opened
bluetooth-wizard, attempted to connect to the keyboard, checked for the
pin in the terminal as reported by hcidump, entered that into the
keyboard and pressed enter, and bluetooth-wizard completed the set up.

[Bug 753405] Re: Changing Cursor theme doesn't update changes

2011-04-12 Thread molecule-eye
I've noticed the same thing. However, the icon theme I changed to from
default shows up in Firefox but it reverts back to the default (DMZ-
White) basically everywhere else (e.g. nautilus, when hovering over the
Unity panel, etc.)

[Bug 159042] Re: Nautilus is very slow in list mode with Assistive Technologies enabled (at-spi)

2010-01-04 Thread molecule-eye
This bug (apparently in AT and not Nautilus) is still present in Ubuntu
9.10 Karmic. If I needed AT this would be enough to have me moving to
KDE.

Does this affect other file browsers for gnome?

[Bug 426146] Re: System monitor take 80% of CPU when running

I get gross usage as well. I'm seeing roughly 14-44% usage, with
relatively long spikes into the 90s! This is on an Intel Core Solo CULV
1.06Ghz mobile, using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic.

[Bug 108623] Re: totem isn't buffering correctly

2010-01-04 Thread molecule-eye
I'm sure the problem is prevalent. E.g., anyone using the Greasemonkey
script YouTube without Flash Auto that plays YouTube content in totem
rather than a Flash container will have experience this bug when playing
back HD videos. And that script has been installed 21,966 times as of
this date, so there must be quite a few users experiencing this bug!

The script can be found at http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/50771.

[Bug 15442] Re: panels change their position between logins

2009-12-30 Thread molecule-eye
I'm having this issue in Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic. The bottom panel has
expand disabled and autohide enabled. Using the panel preference
setting I cannot change its orientation--it's stuck on top. If I
change it in gconf-editor it can be changed but as soon as it unhides,
it shoots back to the top of the screen.

[Bug 425304] Re: Rhythmbox's volume control requires you to click it to bring up the slider

2009-11-21 Thread molecule-eye
The slider should always be visible. At the moment is it only visible by
clicking on the volume button. This is especially unusual given the
amount of unused white space immediately to the left of the volume
button.

[Bug 397839] Re: Screen randomly goes off in karmic

2009-11-01 Thread molecule-eye
I can confirm in Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic using Intel 945GM graphics and stock
Intel drivers. Roughly every 10min. of inactivity (sometimes less) the
screen blanks. The screensaver is disabled and gnome-power-management is
set not to blank the screen.

[Bug 381116] Re: Screensaver not inhibited while playing movies

2009-10-31 Thread molecule-eye
I get screen blanking regardless of the program running and regardless
of the power management and screensaver settings. For instance, when the
screensaver is disabled and all screen blanking settings in power
management are set to at least 1 hour, the screen blanks anyway after 10
minutes or so. This happens while watching full screen flash
(megavideo), web browsing, etc.

[Bug 428795] Re: Can't import evolution backup from a path with space

I can verify the same problem. I attempted to use an archive file
located on an NTFS partition. It didn't work. When I moved the file to
my home EXT4 folder everything worked ok. Using the final release of
Karmic.

[Bug 387573] Re: Drop-down calendar does not close unless you click on it

2009-09-19 Thread molecule-eye
The current default behavior in Jaunty (not closing unless the applet is
clicked) is inconsistent with the default behavior of most other applets
and should be changed for consistency.

However, it would be nice to have the option of the calendar staying
open when clicking off of it, e.g. by having a sticky button on the
calendar. Plus there is good demand for this option, as evidenced by
this thread.

[Bug 108623] Re: totem isn't buffering correctly

2009-05-05 Thread molecule-eye
I agree with TBerk that there should be a genuine 'pause' function,
which currently acts like a 'stop' instead. One should be able to pause
a movie at any point in the stream, have it continue buffering, and then
be able to resume from the time paused.

Alternatively, but not as good, would be to be able to manually set a
buffer size.

I'm running Jaunty and the latest version of totem in the repos.
