[Bug 566026] Re: MoviePlayer does not display unless at full screen

2010-05-06 Thread mprince
Same problem here as #1-- also using 10.04 full release.

VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. KM400/KN400/P4M800 [S3
UniChrome] (rev 01)
No desktop effects

If I double click on a video file, the playback is black with an
occasional flash of an image. The audio plays fine. If I move the window
using the mouse, I can see the video, but then it returns to black when
I release.

For whatever reason, the playback works fine if I launch Totem using the
Applications menu and then drag-n-drop a video file to it. There is a
small ammount of flicker when the video starts, but otherwise plays back
fine.

***This helps as a workaround***
Press Alt+F2 and run gstreamer-properties-- on the video tab, change the
default output plugin to X Window System (No Xv).

[Bug 231936] Re: Clock applet locations use inconsistent time formats

2008-08-07 Thread mprince
I have this problem, too.

I only have one location and it shows 24-hour format even though I have
12-hour selected in clock preferences.
