Hello Andreas,

Printing preview does not show anything. Export it to a pdf file creates
a blank image. I only can print in gimp under gutenprint.

[Bug 633302] [NEW] Samsung CLP-315 printer doesn't print gimp images

2010-09-08 Thread murrayf
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gimp

Hello,

My Samsung CLP-315 printer is recognized by ubuntu 10.10 and print with
many programs, but fails printing gimp images (showing blank paper). The
only possibility in that case is to use gutenprint driver but it is not
the default way.

If you allow me to metion it it fails also printing webpages browsed by
Mozilla Firefox 4.0b5. I'm not sure but maybe it fails in firefox
default package for maverick.

I know hardware manufacturers not always develop good open drivers but
I think in general the driver provided by ubuntu works well.

If it helps I paste you the error when I try to print with latest
firefox:

"

[Bug 123400] Re: "unknown error" when I try to have a radio broadcast with rhythmbox

2007-09-05 Thread murrayf
I have similar problems playing internet radio and get the same error
"unknown error" than stratosphere and Fabio. Rhythmbox version is
0.11.2, gutsy tribe 5 and the radio stations are Radio 3 (Radio Nacional
de España - http://www.rtve.es/rne/audio/RNE3.asx) and Cadena SER
(http://www.cadenaser.com/player/SER-TIC.asx), but suppose it could be
applicable to many others...

This bug is solved in tribe 5, now you can manage your startup

[Bug 32194] Startup programs are not saved...

2007-05-01 Thread murrayf
Hello,

I have found the same issue in Feisty. Besides that, I can't add new
entries in startup programs, they are not saved. The solution I have
found is to edit manually /home/"your_user"/.gnome2/session or session~
like this:

At the end of this file there are entries that start by a number and
look like this "12,RestartCommand=beryl-manager"... if we would like to
add for example, glipper as startup program after beryl load, then we
would select its position with the correspondent number + "," +
"RestartCommand=full path" (13,RestartCommand=/usr/bin/glipper), if
there is some doubt I attach you my /home/myuser/.gnome2/session and you
can see how the programs I want load in the order that I want...

At the end of session file there is a line called "num_clients="
after equal sign it is necessary to put the last number plus 1 (in the
attached file 16). Don't forget to save this file as
/home/"your_user"/.gnome2/session, if everything goes well you will see
the programs you want in the order you want after rebooting the
machine...

Alberto.
