After a fresh install (beta2), I have disabled backports before updating the patches. This probably made the difference why I'm not able to reproduce this bug. @katsudon there are already several bugs refering to power management issues. after doing my own research, most of this bugs are just different combinations of issues with lids, suspend, and AC/batt. (power management) my point is most likely if this bug is solve so will be other somewhat similar bugs. my system is AL662. without adding module options there is no 5.1 audio. A workaround was required to have 5.1 audio, with it I cannot configure 5.1 from the GUI. Hi Scott, I'm regularly testing the karmic daily build. As of 20090724, the gdm does not load properly and goes to cli, asking for login(development brach). I've filed this under bug#404577. I hope that the nvidia ion chipset will be incorporated to karmic. I think ion will create a divide between atom fanatics.
