Yes, my report is a duplicate of #1875450

Apologies, I didn't find that when I searched previous reports.

[Bug 1877118] [NEW] Gnome-shell activities overview search doesn't return full results

2020-05-06 Thread patslap
Public bug reported:

When using the search function in Gnome Shell's activity overview, only
local results seem to be returned. e.g. matches for appplications,
files, contacts, and characters. I would normally expect to see results
from at least online repositories/software centre, too. If there are no
local matches, the search doesn't seem to time out (I've not waited more
than a minute or two) and doesn't return anything - see attached
screenshot.

[Bug 969359] Re: [keyboard]: gnome-settings-daemon consumes 100% cpu (and blinking numlock)

And thank you from me, too, Marcel Miguel, comment #170.

chgrp and chown of .cache/dconf in each user's home directory worked me
as well.

I'm experiencing similar problem too: missing pointer speed and
acceleration settings in 14.04 using Logitech K400r keyboard.
