I've identified the cause. Would you believe it. I was caused by having seconds displayed in the clock. Arrrgghh. I had set up the web based account to forward to one of my other accounts. I set it back to pop enabled and EVO asked for the yahoo password. Put in the password and now no errors!! Ok I used evolutions backup and then on Karmic imported from the archive. I'm afraid image loading is still very slow on Karmic. I can confirm that this bug exists in Intrepid. Files from October got todays,Nov/5/08 timestamp . Canon G5 which mounts ok. Intrepid clean install. Just transferred files with gthumb and the timestamps are not preserved. However copying with nautilus, while painfully slow keeps the correct timestamps. Canon G5 camera.
