[Bug 1826688] Re: GNOME Shell icon grid fade in/out is sometimes missing at the top/bottom of the screen

2019-04-30 Thread PJ O
I added the newest journalctl to the post above, and here's the entire
thing.

** Description changed:

After installing an update for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, GNOME's App Launcher
screen faces graphical issues when scrolling. To reproduce this, simply
open the Application menu and scroll in the paginated list. If the bug
is present, the screen will fail to update completly; the animation wil
play through, but the icons will remain in place or "chopped off," it
seems the frame isn't completly refreshed? It's fixed after a few
seconds or by moving the mouse.

I'm using GNOME 3.28.2 on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

I'm also using an Nvidia card for graphics (with drivers installed)

I attached a picture (Sorry that it isn't a screenshot!)

[Bug 269215] Re: There is a problem with the configuration server. (/usr/lib/libgconf2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256)

2009-12-02 Thread pj
Exactly the same problem as far_away this morning. The hard disk
partition with the system installed on it was full due to a backup I
think. Not able to access the terminal at all at present. Very grateful
for any ideas as to how to access it.

I have a USB version on Ubuntu.

[Bug 444911] [NEW] Calibrate Touchscreen error EEE TOP 1602

2009-10-06 Thread pj
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: yelp

This is the error message returned when trying to calibrate the touch-
screen of an etop 1602. The touch screen itself works, but contrary to
what I have read on the subject, it does require fine tuning to be
useful!

No evtouch capable device found, if you are sure you have
an evtouch capable touchscreen, please mail the resulting file of the command
"lshal > evtouch_hal.out" to the
bug url https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/317094, so support for your device can
be added.

[Bug 211721] Re: Thinkpad X61 tablet does not suspend when battery is critical

2008-10-15 Thread PJ
Attached result of

gnome-power-bugreport.sh &> gpm.log

Note:

I have tried suspend and hibernate, neither work.
After I get the "warning machine will hibernate in 3 minutes" the battery
"Power History" monitor displays my battery voltage falling to zero then the
machine just dies.
