[Bug 44082] Re: GNOME Panel icons (on right side) move apparently randomly on session start in some situations
I respectfully disagree. That roadmap only states when Panel size changes, and that has nothing to do with this bug. This bug (probably) has more to do with the fact that applets have variable widths and are configured to specific locations that cause massive confusion in the panel rendering if you happen to do things like log out and log back in a little later (which changes the size of the clock applet). There doesn't appear to be anything that gives priority to the order of the applet as opposed to its exact position. -- GNOME Panel icons (on right side) move apparently randomly on session start in some situations https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/44082 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 42772] Re: clock does not reclaim free space (pixels) on the right
It seems developers are ignoring this bug even when weather and temperature features are put into it. Shouldn't bugs have a higher priority than features? -- clock does not reclaim free space (pixels) on the right https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/42772 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 42772] Re: clock does not reclaim free space (pixels) on the right
In Gnome, I find that you are forced to run with Show date unchecked. The change of date makes this bug more severe than it must seem to upstream (whose default is unchecked IIRC rather than checked in Ubuntu). I'd really like to see this fixed given how annoying it is and how easily it can be fixed. -- clock does not reclaim free space (pixels) on the right https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/42772 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 44082] Re: GNOME Panel icons (on right side) move apparently randomly on session start in some situations
Items on the right side of the panel move themselves back to flush up against each other if you change the Orientation. [Bug 44082] Re: GNOME Panel icons (on right side) move apparently randomly on session start in some situations
On my system, I have the Notification Area, the Volume Applet, the System Monitor, the Clock, and the Workspace Switcher on the right side of my panel going left to right. The Notification Area and the Clock change width from time to time, so perhaps that's what is causing this trouble. As a workaround, I'm going to try keeping all these applets a small distance apart from each other rather than flush up against themselves and see if that fixes this issue. -- GNOME Panel icons (on right side) move apparently randomly on session start in some situations https://launchpad.net/bugs/44082 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 44082] Re: GNOME Panel icons (on right side) move apparently randomly on session start in some situations
Locked or unlocked, applets move around randomly on the right side. On the left, applets move around randomly unless you manually move them. Manually moving applets on the right does *not* fix them. -- GNOME Panel icons (on right side) move apparently randomly on session start in some situations https://launchpad.net/bugs/44082 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 86148] Cannot load Python plugin for 'External Tools' 'Python Console' and 'Snippets' in amd64
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit-plugins I've noticed that these plugins are not selectable in the Preferences/Plugins tab, and this problem has also been reported here: http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=362089 At first glance, this would appear to be a fault of the amd64 version, though that may just be a coincidence. ** Affects: gedit-plugins (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Cannot load Python plugin for 'External Tools' 'Python Console' and 'Snippets' in amd64 https://launchpad.net/bugs/86148 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 64305] Clock display drifts to the left
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel If you use a non-monospace font for the system (which is the standard) after the clock changes in any significant way, it will drift further and further to the left. It may correct itself over time, but that space becomes an eyesore. If you wait until enough space has grown, you can correct it by right- clicking on the panel (which will force it to adjust its width), but why not just adjust the width periodically? Alternatively, it would be nice if the text was centered or in some other way permitted to use markup rather than being stuck left-justified. ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Clock display drifts to the left https://launchpad.net/bugs/64305 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
