I get this problem when using an external dvd writer. The device is
unusable after being fine initially.

[Bug 230104] Re: small white square left on screen when returning from hibernate

2009-01-18 Thread sandoz
I have a similar problem on my laptop, but my white square is below
the menu panel from the left to the right of the screen laying over part
of the title bar of a maximized application.

So maybe this bug has nothing to do with the notification daemon?

System:
Thinkpad T43
Ubuntu 8.10
Linux 2.6.27-9-generic

[Bug 230104] Re: small white square left on screen when returning from hibernate

2009-01-18 Thread sandoz
I just noticed, that i've got this kind of white border around every menu.
So it seems to be rather a Gnome bug, not so?

See screenshot.

[Bug 277516] [NEW] Thumbnails are shaking at specific position in a specific PDF

2008-10-03 Thread sandoz
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

Release: Ubuntu 8.04.1
Evince version: 2.22.2-0ubuntu1
Poppler: 0.6.4-1ubuntu3.1

Steps to reproduce:
   1) Open the attached PDF.
   2) Go to the last page (#102), e.g. using the Select page widget.
   3) Klick once on the thumbnail scrollbar up arrow.

Result: You will see, that the thumbnails are toggeling between two states,
giving a shaking effect.
Desired result: Thumbnails should just move a little bit down and stay still.

I know it's just a minor minor bug. But it's a moment that gives a user
the feeling of buggy software, which should be avoided, not so?

Thanks for your activity!
