I can confirm this bug. I am using Lucid Lynx 10.04 x64 on an Intel Q6600. For EACH log I attempt to view it fully pegs a core @ 100%. [Bug 250849] [NEW] Wrong values in burn dialog
Public bug reported: There are two problems here using the gnome burn tools. 1. The burn dialog offers wrong speeds. I allready reported that problem ~2 years ago: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hal/+bug/67034 , the bug still exists in intrepid (up to date development version). 2. When there are two burning devices, a cd and a dvd device i can select one in the burn dialogs device selection box. In the speed selection box below that should be a list of speeds the device offers. But for me, if i choose the DVD-burner, there a speeds available that match the CD-Burner. And vice versa. The bug still exists in gutsy. With a closer look at gnome's bug #300832 i can say that one is not related with this one. Try on your own: Open a terminal. Then lock down the desktop with this command: gconftool -t bool -s /apps/panel/global/locked_down true Open the context menu of the applications-menü top-left on your gnome desktop, see that you are able to launch the menu editor. This should never be possible in a locked down environment.
