the bug is still happened in Audaicious newest version when you choose ALSA 
output,
even the RhythmBox Audio player can't play when Audacious play/pause

yeah, I had the same problems, the trash gone, but when I restart, the trash 
appear again...
is it a bug?

I've installed Hardy Heron via Wubi too, from the CD

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

I use Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron with RhythmBox inside it,
then I installed mp3 codec from here

so that RhythmBox can play mp3 files,
and I can listen to mp3 musics,

but the problem is, RhythmBox sometimes even often ask me to download codec, 
but when I click "search", there's no codec,
why?
