[Bug 706436] Re: Safely remove drive is not safe for SD card readers
it's very easy to tell udev this, but you have to do it manually; i do the same to tell it what format the card reader can read, you'd need some list of major/minor versions and what they are to do this automatically, at least that's the conclusion i came to when i tried to figure out how to automate it the key word here is udev though, that is where the properties are assigned -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/706436 Title: Safely remove drive is not safe for SD card readers To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nautilus/+bug/706436/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

i figured out a way to reproduce this crash! :D (and the crash you still get with the bodge) it happens when you select one of the files you just deleted, before they've left the view. to help do this i copied 30-40 mp3 albums into a separate folder, entered that folder, then picked the top 8 or so; held shift and pressed delete immediately after hitting enter to dismiss the warning dialogue i hit the down arrow key a bunch of times; if you succeed the focus will change to one of the files in the selection, with the wrong icon, and it will immediately crash thereafter turns out this is what i was doing every time i triggered the crash ;] -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/711429 Title: nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in g_closure_invoke() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nautilus/+bug/711429/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 739916] [NEW] gnome-mouse-properties doesn't offer touchpad options for 2 finger clicks
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center with natty and the newer kernel, the driver for my synaptics touchpad (which does not do multitouch, but has heuristics for some 2 finger gestures) added a 2 finger right click, which is on by default even though the heuristics for it working, along with 2 finger scrolling are very bad. first thing i did was go to the mouse applet to disable it only to find it wasn't there. having heuristics off by default and having ui to turn it on (and adjust the thresholds for the heuristics) might be useful, as it is i can't use 2 finger scroll reliably either, but there is ui to enable it, without the threshold ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: gnome-control-center 1:2.32.1-0ubuntu11 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-7.37-generic 2.6.38 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-7-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 Date: Mon Mar 21 19:38:54 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release amd64 (20101007) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US:en LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-control-center UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to natty on 2011-03-17 (4 days ago) ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug natty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/739916 Title: gnome-mouse-properties doesn't offer touchpad options for 2 finger clicks -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 686130] [NEW] crumb bar in file dialogue leaves junk in location box after navigation
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: file-roller in the example image the crumb bar shows "ohsix, crap, acm-5.0, dis" if i navigate to dis, then click on acm-5.0, "dis" is put in the location box (it is selected) if i click on crap, acm-5.0 is put in the box and selected. in nautilus this sort of behaviour is desirable because it will put you back where you were in a large folder as you navigate back, but in file- roller if you are trying to extract to the parent, or any directory in the crumb bar, you have to pick the location, then deselect the folder, it is highly desirable that there is nothing selected, and the location bar remains empty from these operations. [Bug 630884] Re: nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in g_closure_invoke()
i thought i should add that i almost always have the extra pane open (F3) when this occurs, the drive being ejected is only in one tab on one pane. i've also noticed with a single pane, it tends to crash every _other_ drive ejection; i can get away with ejecting one, but the second one crashes it. -- nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in g_closure_invoke() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/630884 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

i'll try and remember that next time; i figured the people marking bugs would have actually read them, since report quality isn't uniform -- evince crashed with SIGSEGV in clear_job_selection() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/651931 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

in the bug i posted; it had instructions to reproduce it, unfortunately it was marked as a duplicate of this one instead of the other way around (or not at all) https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/661732 and by my own instructions, i can still do it on demand, every time. -- evince crashed with SIGSEGV in clear_job_selection() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/651931 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 651931 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/651931 "just after started up and mapped", mapped is an X term; it is when the window appears, its document area is gray for a small amount of time, before the document is painted in, if you click when it is gray, it will crash. -- evince crashed with SIGSEGV in ev_pixbuf_cache_set_selection_list() if clicked after map, but before resize or initial paint https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661732 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 651931] Re: evince crashed with SIGSEGV in clear_job_selection()
it's any given pdf, i was able to reproduce it with several; you just need to click before the document area is redrawn/resized heres a handful: http://delivery.acm.org/10.1145/107/1066954/p1231-mcpherson.pdf?key1=1066954&key2=7358983711&coll=GUIDE&dl=GUIDE&CFID=15151515&CFTOKEN=6184618 http://vis.cs.ucdavis.edu/~ogawa/apvis07ogawa.pdf http://vis.cs.ucdavis.edu/~shearer/papers/pixelplexing.pdf http://www.firstamendmentcenter.org/pdf/SOFA.Sept.2010data.pdf essentially every pdf in my download history; because thats what i verified it with once i realized what did it, i'd had it happen long before that but never figured it was clicking in the client area that did it. the timing in the bug i posted, that was marked duplicate here; that is the key to at least the bug i posted, remains to be seen if its an actual duplicate i guess -- evince crashed with SIGSEGV in clear_job_selection() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/651931 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
