[Bug 1979229] Re: File chooser window too big with left dock and dual monitors

2022-06-20 Thread Steve Cohen
HEY!
How about posting an updated version of the
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage instructions before bouncing bug
reports back at the user as though he is a moron! These instructions look to
have been written about the time of Ubuntu 14.04. Nothing like the recommended
method for learning this information exists now.

Still, racking my brain, I remember that the Files app is called
Nautilus. I will trying putting that package in.

** Package changed: ubuntu => nautilus (Ubuntu)

[Bug 1318090] [NEW] Bluetooth will not pair with Lenovo Bluetooth Keyboard

2014-05-09 Thread Steve Cohen
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 14.04
Lenovo Thinkpad T540P and Lenovo KT1255 bluetooth keyboard

With bluetooth turned on, turn on keyboard and search for devices.
Device is quickly found. Try to pair with it. A six digit random
number is generated by the software with instructions to type it on the
keyboard and press enter. Always fails to pair although the number is
typed correctly.

** Affects: gnome-bluetooth (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 969359] Re: [keyboard]: gnome-settings-daemon consumes 100% cpu (and blinking numlock)

2013-01-14 Thread steve cohen
sorry have not read all the details re:numlock but i can reproduce it
using remmina i connect to a vnc client
i issue a control_r i press the num lock button
i exit remmina

the client desktop is now locked into the num lock is off no matter what the
lights on the key board says
and no local repressing the button returns functionality.. the light on the key
board does toggle
even rebooting the system doesn't seem to reset the condition

to turn it back on i vnc re-connected pressed the control_r and then the num
lock
i exited
bingo it was back on..

hope this is helpful
