Here’s a screenshot about the absence of the 1920x1080 resolution. As
you can see I’m unable to choose the mentioned resolution.

[Bug 969154] [NEW] Unable to set 1920x1080 resolution in Ubuntu 12.04 Beta2 as a VMWare Workstation 8 guest

2012-03-30 Thread totya
Public bug reported:

My host system is Win7 64bit. My notebook has 1920x1080 native
resolutions. I’m running VMWare Workstation 8 for desktop
virtualization. Today I’ve installed Ubuntu 12.04 Beta2 as a guest. I
was unable to set 1920x1080 resolution on the guest side. The gnome-
control-center display command offered me a lot of other resolutions,
but 1920x1080.

I’ve also installed the vmware-tools, because I assumed the absence of that
tool is the problem. However I’ve had to realize the problem still exist after
a successful vmware-tools installation. (Yep, I did a reboot after the
installation.)
I have to say my Ubuntu 11.10 works like a charm, so for that version the
1920x1080 not a problem at all.

If you need more information to fix this problem, I’m glade to help you.

[Bug 875884] [NEW] nautilus hasn't started until I removed the nautilus-open-terminal package

2011-10-16 Thread totya
Public bug reported:

I've installed Ubuntu 11.10. That was a fresh install not an upgrade.

I was unable to start the nautilus until I removed the nautilus-open-
terminal package.

When I try to launch nautilus from a terminal the application gave me
the following debug output:

mymachine:myuser:/tmp:>> nautilus
Initializing nautilus-gdu extension
Initializing nautilus-image-converter extension
Initializing nautilus-open-terminal extension
** (nautilus:11955): DEBUG: SyncDaemon already running, initializing

`GTK_IS_ACTION (action)' failed

(nautilus:11955): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_action_set_visible: assertion
`GTK_IS_ACTION (action)' failed

I really like the nautilus-open-terminal extension. It's extremely
useful for me. Please fix the problem!

[Bug 553595] Re: nautilus ctrl+L shortcut does not restore the button navigation bar when pressed again

2010-05-05 Thread totya
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 508632 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/508632

Just FYI: Howto switch between button location bar and text based
location bar

I've found when I press CTRL+l, the location bar will be opened (just
like in the old days, so nothing new here).

However if I would like to go back to the button navigation bar a simple
ESC is enough.

[Bug 392175] [NEW] Implement gnome-terminal activity monitor feature

2009-06-25 Thread totya
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

This is not a bug, this is a feature request.

I've been a KDE user long time ago. In this time a used konsole as a
terminal emulator. Since Hardy I'm using the Ubuntu default Gnome
desktop and in this case I'm using gnome-terminal instead off konsole.

There is a feature which is really missing for me. Konsole is able to
monitor activity on the terminal tabs. So if I'm working on one of the
tabs (active tab) konsole is able to alarm me when there is some
activity on a not used one (inactive tab).

There will be nice to see a similar feature for gnome-terminal. Please
implement a similar feature!

Best Regards,
totya
