[Bug 1226119] [NEW] "SMART is not enabled" in disks, according to smartctl it is

Public bug reported: When closing an Evince 3.4.0-0ubuntu1.4 window, it often happens that the window remains open but stops responding to events. [Bug 1009067] [NEW] "Wacom Graphics Tablet" slightly dominates the applet overview screen
Public bug reported: The "All Settings" page of System Settings generally has short, to-the-point names like "Appearance", "Privacy", "Sound", etc. There are some that are longer, like "Mouse and Touchpad", "Universal Access" and "Language Support". One of the items seems to grab the attention, namely "Wacom Graphics Tablet". It is the only item which takes up three lines for the text label (on the desktops I've encountered). Visually, it is the last item of the set, which helps in attracting attention. Since the name "Wacom" does not seem to add much clue to distinguish what to choose ("Graphics Tablet", or even "Tablet" may suffice), it would be better to drop that. [Bug 292385] Re: Connection refused since it tries to connect to port 143 instead of 993

[Bug 120727] Re: Nautilus Core-dump on .swf file on desktop
Please also supply a link or copy of the .swf that crashed, because I cannot reproduce it here with just a random flash file. I'd say it's either a bug in libswfdec or Nautilus' thumbnailer. -- Nautilus Core-dump on .swf file on desktop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120727 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 126616] Re: Cannot copy files from file system to Evolution folders
I'd like to second this bug: dragging a file from Nautilus into the Evolution window is possible. Drag any file onto either a folder in the folder list (but not a search folder, junk or deleted items), and you see that it is accepted (a plus-sign appears on the dragged file and the folder is (kind of) selected (dotted rectangle around it). This action only does something (ok, I didn't look in the source, so there may be exceptions) when the dragged file is an mbox. In that case, the email messages inside are copied into the folder. (This also works the other way around: dragging an email message from evolution into Nautilus creates an mbox for that message.) When the dragged file is not an mbox, nothing happens. This is confusing: either it should not be possible to drag a not-accepted file into Evolution, or a message should be displayed that it is not a supported file type (or something like that). -- Cannot copy files from file system to Evolution folders https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/126616 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 124797] Re: CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor applet on dual-core doesn't work after resume
I confirm this, 2nd cpu seems not to respond to a governor option change after suspend/resume; removing and re-adding the applet corrects it. With Gutsy's kernel 2.6.22 I don't see the problem right now. I will test it more extensively though and report if I see anything interesting. -- CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor applet on dual-core doesn't work after resume https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/124797 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-applets in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 36424] Re: oo2 failed to load file from ftp in nautilus
Same problem for me with OO.org 2.0.4-ubuntu4. I noticed a small difference in the error message for these two cases: 1. Start OO.org and open a file from passw-protected ftp --> dlg with "general input/output error" 2. Run from cmdline: openoffice ftp://user:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/file This opens the file, it works. Then open a file from the same ftp location using File->Open. --> dlg with "Access to ftp://[EMAIL PROTECTED]/file was denied" Notice that, again, the password is missing here. I got these error message on the console/xsession-errors: (nautilus:4202): libgnomevfs-WARNING **: gnome-vfs-monitor.c: A monitor handle was destroyed before it was added to the method hash table. This is a bug in the application and can cause crashes. It is probably a race-condition. (soffice.bin:6857): libgnomevfs-WARNING **: gnome-vfs-monitor.c: A monitor handle was destroyed before it was added to the method hash table. This is a bug in the application and can cause crashes. It is probably a race-condition. The former occurs a couple of time in ~/.xsession-errors. I haven't been able to reproduce them though. -- oo2 failed to load file from ftp in nautilus https://launchpad.net/bugs/36424 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 50484] "Switch user" shows gdmflexiserver dialog, but screensaver runs
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-session The package's patch 11_session_dialog.patch adds a RESPONSE_SWITCH (switch user) option to the logout dialog. When multiple servers are defined in /etc/gdm/gdm.conf (or /etc/gdm/gdm.conf-custom) (I played with Xgl), a dialog is thrown up asking which server to start Xnest with. The problem is that the screen is locked immediately after running gdmflexiserver, so the dialog can only be accessed after unlocking the screen again. A solution would be to postpone locking the screen after gdmflexiserver is finished asking questions. But I think this is not a suitable question for an ordinary user anyway. I'm not sure at the moment what the best solution is. ** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed ** Summary changed: - "Switch user" shows gdmflexiserver dialog, but screensaver runs + "Switch user" shows gdmflexiserver dialog, but screensaver already started -- "Switch user" shows gdmflexiserver dialog, but screensaver already started https://launchpad.net/bugs/50484 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
