[Bug 1385758] [NEW] brasero failed to correctly burn aac file

2014-10-25 Thread zeimusu
Public bug reported:

I created an aac file:

 ls -s pieces.aac
34624 pieces.aac

$ file pieces.aac
pieces.aac: MPEG ADTS, AAC, v4 LC, 48 kHz, stereo

The file is relatively long, about 45 minutes, and plays correctly with
totem, vlc and avplay.

I would expect brasero to decode the aac file and burn it to cd

When I attempted to burn this file as an audio cd, brasero identifies it as a 6
minute audio file.
The burning proceeds without apparent error, but doesn't produce a valid audio
cd.

It may be that brasero is intepreting the aac file as an uncompressed
pcm format file.

system detail:

Is this bug 553200? Do you use nvidia-96? Does the gdm screen hang or
otherwise prevent you from login?

[Bug 557245] [NEW] Gdm hangs, then restarts as it asks for my password.

2010-04-07 Thread zeimusu
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

Using Lucid Lynx beta. Fully updated.

I start Lucid, and come to the log in screen.
I click my user name. The password entry box appears, but gdm appears to hang.
The mouse stops moving, and no black circles appear in the password box. After
about 5 seconds the screen blanks and gdm restarts with the "Click your name"
box.

I am able to login to tty1. I tried setting Timed login, but that failed

There is a similar bug, but that was invalid - #496772

[Bug 450533] [NEW] Build poppler with the openjpeg library / Images not showing in evince, JPX errors

2009-10-13 Thread zeimusu
Public bug reported:

Some Images in pdf files from google books fail to show, and generate
JPX errors.

According to the good folks at poppler this is due to ubuntu not using
openjpeg when building poppler, and the depreciated fallback decoder
failing.
