[Bug 1006651] Re: quantal updated 30 May nautilus bin crash on third disk folder selection

2012-05-31 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or
challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these
instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can
be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable
apport in /etc/default/apport and restart.

Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the
crash report you wish to submit.
If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with
'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is
the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed
to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug
/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'.

I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more
efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

[Bug 1006651] Re: quantal updated 30 May nautilus bin crash on third disk folder selection

2012-05-31 Thread jerrylamos
Sebastian, your dirfections don't work.
ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash
results in an apport window that says send an error report to fix this
problem but the error report isn't ever sent.
I selected details however Quantal isn't able to select and copy the details.
Here's a couple lines copied by hand:
nautilis 1.3.5.1-9ubuntu2
nautilus crashed with SIGABRT in raise()
apport version 2.1.1.-0ubuntu1
Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal - Alpha i386 (2012050528)
StackTraceAddressSignature too too long, no way I can copy that by hand. See
attachment.

When apport doesn't work sure cuts down on the number of bugs
reported

Sorry I don't know enough to give you more info.

Not a showstopper, quantal didn't crash.

Jerry

[Bug 1006651] Re: quantal updated 30 May nautilus bin crash on third disk folder selection

2012-05-30 Thread jerrylamos
Quantal updated just now, 30 May, Compaq Presario same kind of failure
on 2nd partition selected by Home Folder nautilus:

-rw-r- 1 jerrywhoopsie 3511236 May 30 21:42
_usr_bin_nautilus.1000.crash

Apport said it was collecting info for a report but then the Apport
window disappeared.

So this same error occurred on two different pc's.
