Public bug reported: I have followed the advice of several authors on various Linux supported sites and my computer states "Unble to mount Brian Hess's iPhone" even though the icon for the phone appears in my folders on the desktop. If I click on the icon it gives me "Unhanded Lockdown Error (-4)"
Following the advice of several sites, I made sure that I followed the steps to update, upgrade, and install all of the needed components to make the device work. I think that the iOS 6 is causing the issue and that the newest libararies for libimobiledevice are not up-to-date to run the interface. So even though the phone is recognized for picture support, it will not function for music. Currently running this system and distro: HP/Compaq tc4400 Linux Mint Release 10 (Julia) Kernel Linux 2.6.35-32-generic Gnome 2.32.0 iPhone 4gs White Powered by iOS 6.0.1 ** Affects: libimobiledevice (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to libimobiledevice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1092000 Title: iPhone 4GS not recognized by Linux Mint 10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libimobiledevice/+bug/1092000/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
