this bug has been fixed on Evolution 2.21.5 onwards on Hardy. If this is considered to be important on previous Ubuntu versions, please consider requesting a backport. As far as I'm aware, This packages currently fails rule 4 of backporting. 4 Applications to be backported must have meaningful benefits to the user not attainable via other processes. Specifically: 1. The sole purpose must not be to fix a bug or security vulnerability. There are more correct processes for these types of defects (specifically Security team and [WWW] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates). Exceptions may be granted ONLY in the case that the other processes have failed or refused to address the issue. Please, for bugfixes, try https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates first. We will reject any Backports requests for bugfixes if SRU has not been attempted. 2. The application, therefore, should have some significant new feature or benefits. I still also see that a number of birthdays from my adressbook do not appear in my calendar. I'm using 2.12.1 on gutsy. Using the Gutsy 64-bit version, the birthdays show up in calendar now. But it tells me this person mentioned above, born in 1947, is turning 37. She'll be happy to hear it no doubt, but I'm afraid it isn't quite true...
