[Bug 1142993] Re: Desktop Organize
Hi Eran, thanks for your bug report. You asked for the Gnome bug tracker, and it is located at: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/. You can report this bug there, but I sincerely doubt it'll be ever adressed. They, as you may know, are removing a lot of functionality from their platform, and Nautilus drawing the desktop is one of these removed features. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1142993 Title: Desktop Organize To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1142993/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1142993] Re: Desktop Organize
While GNOME Shell by default doesn't have desktop icons, GNOME 3.8 includes a new GNOME Classic mode which does show desktop icons by default using Nautilus. What was removed this cycle is Nautilus handling the desktop wallpaper which is not the same as handling icons on the desktop.
