[Bug 120611] Re: in evolution cannot move recursive events
I've recreated something similar under gutsy. Here's what I did: (1) create an event that recurs weekly forever (2) move the 2nd instance to a different day, different time, and different length of time (3) change all instances (selecting one from the normal time) to be a different time and length of time Then you'll see that the special instance from #2 has a second copy back on the original day, but at the time and length of time from #2. -- in evolution cannot move recursive events https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120611 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 120611] Re: in evolution cannot move recursive events
ubuntu version: latest version - besides I found this upstream as well All my calendars are local I've done some more testing, and this only happens when you try to resize recursive events, moving them works, but this is still a show stopper for anyone who expects evolution to behave Should I get the evolution 'dbg' package in order to find out more? I don't really know how I would got about that, but I want to help in anyway that I can too get this bug fixed. -- in evolution cannot move recursive events https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120611 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 120611] Re: in evolution cannot move recursive events
Thank you for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? Do you try with a local calendar? That works fine on my gutsy desktop. Do you have any error on the command line when you try to move an instance? ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu Desktop Bugs Status: Unconfirmed = Needs Info -- in evolution cannot move recursive events https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120611 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 120611] Re: in evolution cannot move recursive events
It appears that the recursion editing is generally broken. Moving a event can be done by seperating hte event from the recursion. However moving it again after that corrupts the entry, making it impossible to delete and destroying all recurred events. This is essential for the calendar, and can make the calender essentially broken.
