After updates I can not start gnome-flashback. I am not using ubuntu package! Thanks Tim! I've managed to make the gnome-panel code a bit less hacky (by using initctl emit), and uploaded. Dimtry, while g-s-d and g-c-c are the main components affected by XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP, it is also used in other places such as client side decorations on nautilus/epiphany, goa vs uoa in empathy/gnome-contacts, and probably other things also .
