I'm also on 14.05 and this is definitely looking like a bug, I've had this happen multiple times now on packages I know are good. I can easily skirt around the issue by using sudo dpkg -i package.deb but the USC should not be failing like this. when i click on Software Updater button, he check for an update then display the window saying Failed to download repository Please check your internet connection, connection work`s fine, and when i click ok, he gives me possibility to download updates.
