[Bug 140611] Re: terminal window opens up either too wide or too small, then text is not visible
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 140540 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/140540 Also running kde programs has same problem and no fonts either. Some times program starts with normal, some times it's waay too wide. I tried also running tilda, and same problem. Changing font doesn't help the problem. -- terminal window opens up either too wide or too small, then text is not visible https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/140611 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-terminal in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 140540 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/140540 I used the command from the original bug to fix it: TJ: To correct it, use this command by doing Alt+F2 (or a terminal if you can see to type) and do: $ gconftool --type float --set /desktop/gnome/font_rendering/dpi 96 -- terminal window opens up either too wide or too small, then text is not visible https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/140611 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-terminal in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 140611] Re: terminal window opens up either too wide or too small, then text is not visible
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 140540 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/140540 After the current upgrade update-manager suggested to me a couple of hours ago I had similar problems. I also noticed that the Apearance dialog failed to open (Gutsy here). Look how neat the terminal window was... After I set the dpi back to 96 it worked perfekt again for me. Also, the Appearance dialog came back up again. ** Attachment added: Tiny little terminal.
