Public bug reported:
-What I did I had 6 items in ~/Desktop I deleted two (specifically, by deleting 1 then the other with the DEL key). The icons disappeared from the Desktop AND from Nautilus I pressed Ctrl+z twice. The items were restored on my system (as proved by ls command) but the icons did not appear on my Desktop nor in a separate nautilus window). http://i.imgur.com/rIkb5uH.jpg http://i.imgur.com/WSRJ6Wb.png http://i.imgur.com/ZHsAQ0r.png (going to post this, then try to xkill my session and see what happens).
