[Bug 1571418] Re: wrong folder name when creating new folder with ( . ) dot prefix

2019-01-02 Thread Paul White
We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all
reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago
and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Ubuntu 15.10 (wily) reached end-of-life on July 28, 2016.

Do you still see a problem related to the one that you reported in a
currently supported version of Ubuntu? Please let us know if you do and
in which version of Ubuntu otherwise this report can be left to expire
in approximately 60 days time.

Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.

[Bug 1571418] Re: wrong folder name when creating new folder with ( . ) dot prefix

2016-04-17 Thread Alex
In Ubuntu 15.10, using Nautilus 3.14.2, following the above steps the
invisible folder is created, however, it also creates an Untitled folder
as well.

To prove that the invisible folder is being created:
- make a new folder that starts with a period (.testfolder)
- go into terminal, and do ls -la | grep testfolder

.testfolder will exist alongside Untitled Folder.
