[Bug 159401] Re: Inbox shows no messages - inbox is not empty

2007-11-24 Thread Gualtiero
Confirmed on Packard bell with Ubuntu 7.10 and Evolution 2.12.1 (in Italian).
Exchange is Windows Server 2003 R2.
This is very bad because make Ubuntu not usable for me.

[Bug 159401] Re: Inbox shows no messages - inbox is not empty

2007-11-17 Thread Mike Tennyson
Same thing happened to me on my Dell Optiplex GX110 running Ubuntu 7.1.

Showed an item count but Inbox was emtpy. No filters were in use. Still
empty after deleting all search folders except Unmatched. I noticed
however that the search folders had the emails that should have been in
the Inbox. So I created a new Search Folder that was set to match
everything and all my emails appeared in it, with the unmatched becoming
empty. I then copied the emails back into my inbox.

Hopefully this work around may help someone troubleshoot. I suspect the
problem is in some way linked to the search folders programming.

[Bug 159401] Re: Inbox shows no messages - inbox is not empty

2007-11-15 Thread Antti P Miettinen
A day after, the inbox view got out of sync again. This time the
complete inbox did not disappear. Instead, just some newly arrived mails
remained invisible. After clearing ~/.evolution/mail/exchange the inbox
was again in sync (compared to e.g. OWA with browser).

[Bug 159401] Re: Inbox shows no messages - inbox is not empty

2007-11-15 Thread Antti P Miettinen
I just made a fresh gutsy install. I'm using the evolution-exchange to
connect to my exchange inbox. For me the exchange inbox started showing
empty very shortly after I had configured my account. I cleared avay my
~/.evolution directory and this made the messages in inbox visible
again, but they disappeared again (probably upon the first new mail
check?). After this I only cleared the ~/.evolution/mail/exchange
directory and so far the messages in my inbox have remained visible.

[Bug 159401] Re: Inbox shows no messages - inbox is not empty

2007-11-15 Thread Kackapa
I also have this problem.
Only a few of the latest messages show up.
New messages does NOT always show up,
not even after refresh or restart, but may show up later.

Regular browser web access to exchange shows all emails.

[Bug 159401] Re: Inbox shows no messages - inbox is not empty

2007-11-03 Thread Bd
I have a similar problem.

My work laptop runs XP and Ubuntu (formerly Feisty, now Gutsy). My work
emails are on an MS Exchange 2003 server.

Until recently, I could read, send and file emails using either Outlook
under XP, or Evolution with Ubuntu.

Since updating to Gutsy, some emails which are visible in my inbox under
Outlook are not visible under Evolution (Gutsy). The "missing" emails
are, however, visible if I look in my inbox using MS WebAccess (either
under XP or Ubuntu).

I am not certain, but it seems that the "missing" emails are those which
I have read and deleted (only on handheld) on my Blackberry.

All emails are still visible from my home pc, which is still running
Feisty.

Wierd !
