[Bug 164149] Re: evolution doesn't recognize meeting requests with the "Prefer plain-text" plugin enabled
The bug seems to be reintroduced with the update to version 2.22.2-0ubuntu1 in hardy. I disabled the plain-text plugin and the meeting buttons were restored. ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- evolution doesn't recognize meeting requests with the "Prefer plain-text" plugin enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/164149 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 164149] Re: evolution doesn't recognize meeting requests with the "Prefer plain-text" plugin enabled
Running on an up-to-date hardy machine, the full meeting request (buttons and all) now shows up below the text representation, which is acceptable behavior to me. -- evolution doesn't recognize meeting requests with the "Prefer plain-text" plugin enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/164149 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 164149] Re: evolution doesn't recognize meeting requests with the "Prefer plain-text" plugin enabled
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy Heron. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help. -- evolution doesn't recognize meeting requests with the "Prefer plain-text" plugin enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/164149 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 164149] Re: evolution doesn't recognize meeting requests with the "Prefer plain-text" plugin enabled
Sorry to take so long to reply. Yes, I've reproduced it with a new user and on seperate machines. I forgot to add that in the preferences window under "Mail Preferences" and the "HTML Mail" tab you have to select "Prefer PLAIN" or "Only ever show PLAIN". It occurs to me also to mention that these meeting requests are being sent from Outlook, not from Evolution. -- evolution doesn't recognize meeting requests with the "Prefer plain-text" plugin enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/164149 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Is this reproducible with another new user created on your machine? That works fine for me, thanks. -- evolution doesn't recognize meeting requests with the "Prefer plain-text" plugin enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/164149 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 164149] Re: evolution doesn't recognize meeting requests with the "Prefer plain-text" plugin enabled
* Enable the "Prefer plain-text" plugin from the Edit->Plugins menu. * Have someone send you a meeting request. Instead of the fancy display with the accept and decline buttons, you'll see a plain text message that lists the date, time, and place of the meeting along with any notes. -- evolution doesn't recognize meeting requests with the "Prefer plain-text" plugin enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/164149 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
