Public bug reported: Any application that has AppStream metadata can be uninstalled using GNOME Software on Ubuntu 17.10, including the core applications. I was able to remove many core GNOME/Ubuntu applications using GNOME Software on Ubuntu 17.10, even GNOME Software itself! This bug is similar to #1546636, but it's not exactly the same issue.
