[Bug 1740921] Re: Nautilus renames partitions on external USB HDD

2019-01-30 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Don't worry about reinstalling/doing extra testing, let's assume it's
resolve since there has been no other report about that. If you ever see
the issue again in the current version feel free to report a new bug

Re: [Bug 1740921] Re: Nautilus renames partitions on external USB HDD

2019-01-30 Thread Glenn Brumfield
Thank you for your attention to this bug report. It had been so long since
I submitted the report that I upgraded to Lubuntu 18.04.1 in the interim.
Since Lubuntu uses File Manager PCManFS rather than Nautilus,
gvfs
-li
will only return
gvfs: command not found
. Since
this is a production machine, I can't reinstall Ubuntu 16.04 with Unity
just for troubleshooting at this late date. PCManFS has not renamed any of
my external HDD file partitions in 18.04.1; perhaps this was an aberration
caused by the last updates to the end-of-life-for-Unity-based 16.04 OS.
Thank you again for your time.

2019-01-30 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for your bug report. Is that still an issue in newer Ubuntu
versions? What's the output of the "gvfs -li" command?
