Similar problem with bionic. gnome-calculator suddenly stopped working. here is the terminal log. thiras@sagan:~$ gnome-calculator /snap/gnome-calculator/180/bin/desktop-launch: line 23: /home/thiras/.config/user-dirs.dirs: Permission denied You need to connect this snap to the gnome platform snap.
