[Bug 177027] Re: notification icon window has no obvious way to close

2008-01-18 Thread Emilio Pozuelo Monfort
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 176892 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/176892

Nanley,

This bug is caused by bug #176892, so I'm dup'ing it again.

Click on tracker-applet, it's opened. If you click outside it, it should
be closed. This is what this bug says. But why it isn't closed? Because
it isn't focused, due to #176892. If you open tracker-applet, click on
the window so it's focused, and then click on your desktop, then the
applet will be closed.

Cheers

[Bug 177027] Re: notification icon window has no obvious way to close

2007-12-27 Thread Nanley Chery
Emilio, I do not think bugs #176892 and #178376 should be marked as
duplicates of this bug. This bug is about closing the tracker
notification icon and the others are about the focus on tracker when the
icon is clicked. Although they are both caused by metacity (though I
don't see how the latter is), they are two different problems.

Correction: metacity 2.20.1-1 (the one from Debian sid, although I
rebuilt it on a hardy environment).

Also downgrading to metacity 2.20.0 fixed bug 176892, so I'm marking it
as a duplicate of this one, as they are probably caused by the same
metacity regression.

Downgrading to metacity 1:2.20.0-1 fixes this issue.
