Public bug reported: I just updated my machine, and when I did libpango1.0-0 was removed. This removed minecraft-launcher - the (very) popular launcher for Minecraft Java edition.
I have reported this upstream, in case they can update their package https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCL-13512 I am filing this bug so we can track it internally. I personally think this shouldn't have been done this late in the cycle, but there may well have been good reasons for it. As a result of the change though, it's now not possible to install Minecraft on Ubuntu 20.04. $ sudo apt install ./Minecraft\(1\).deb Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Note, selecting 'minecraft-launcher' instead of './Minecraft(1).deb' Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming.
