This problem is solved, the patch is in here: https://gitlab.gnome.org/Popax21/gnome- shell/-/commit/461bbcff153d7167d22bbf0e80ecbc5397d724cd However, there is no updated package on Ubuntu 20.04 to solve it. Will there be an updated package to solve this problem later? This question is very important because the current supported ModemManager-1.12.8 does not support 5G capability, and only updates to ModemManager >=1.14.0 will supports 5G. Can this patch be added to the next version of Ubuntu20.04 gnome-shell package? Thraks for your attention, I tried to update to ubuntu20.10. On ubuntu20.10, gnome-shell3.38.1 still reproduced this issue, but the problem was solved by updating to gnome-shell3.38.2. Since I need to use ubuntu20.04, will ubuntu20.04 be updated with a new gnome-shell version that supports modemmanager-1.14.2, or can you tell me how to support modemmanager-1.14.2 on the current ubuntu20.04.
