On Lucid (and probably earlier versions), you can disable the alt+print keyboard shortcut in system->preferences->keyboard shortcuts seems to do the trick. You could probably change it to ctrl+print or something, but I didn't bother since I don't use that feature enough to care. I'm still seeing it in Jaunty, and my SysRq and PrtSc keys are two separate keys. It's even worse: I tried to disable alt-printscreen in system->settings->keyboard and the gnome-screenshot window still comes up.
