Can you please also do sudo killall devkit-power-daemon ; sudo /usr/lib/devicekit-power/devkit- power-daemon -v 21 | tee /tmp/dkp.log then wait a bit (~ 30 seconds), pull out AC cable, wait some more, plug it back in, wait again, and then press Control-C. I also attach the same command done in Jaunty, in case it helps. From what I can see, when pluging in the AC, the battery goes from unknown to discharging and the ac from off to online. If hal and devicekit-power have the same behaviour, then it's probably a kernel bug; however, let's keep it at dk-power for now.
