Adding command gthumb --import-photos to the Digital Camera item on Removeable Drives and Media Preferences re-enables the camera detected prompt. Booting into old Feisty and Gutsy kernels, the camera detected prompt doesn't still pop up, and I cannot import the photos from the camera using F-Spot or gThumb either. (Attaching error message screenshots...) So it is not a kernel problem. Expected behavior: When the digital camera is plugged in, a camera detected prompt should pop up; and if the user choose to import photos, gThumb should be able to import without any problems. The bug is a regression introduced in Hardy.
