[Bug 216030] Re: generic memory leak
I will do that. In addition, through more investigation I have found that scrolling through the sizes (24, 25, 26... etc.) runs up the memory consumption of not just gnome-panel, but Xorg itself as well. Moreover, after closing the gnome-panel options dialog the memory of gnome-panel returns to what it was before, while Xorg does not. I happen to know there is something terribly wrong with Xorg as well as it will start off consuming ~100Mb and throughout a session of a couple days run up to nearly 300, but that belongs in another section obviously. -- generic memory leak https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216030 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Thanks for your bug report. Could you try to get a valgrind log for the crash (you can follow the instructions on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind)? ** Changed in: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs) Status: New = Incomplete -- generic memory leak https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216030 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
